{% load staticfiles %} <section> <h2>Motivation of the Spike Sorting Evaluation Project</h2> <p>The spike sorting evaluation website is an international collaboration to foster the availability and acceptance of spike sorting benchmark sets. The project started in Prof. Klaus Obermayers lab at the Technische Universit├Ąt, Berlin, Germany with an initiative to make benchmarks easily available and offer an automatic spike sorting evaluation. Around the same time the group of Prof. Gaute T. Einevoll at University for Life Sciences Aas, Norway started to work on biophysically realistic simulations of extracellular recordings and thought about how to make those available.
